Pumpkins

There is a fruit that we talk about and use for two holidays in the United States, during October and November... They are round; some can be bumpy or smooth, some can be red, blue, green, white, or orange!

Pumpkins are a fruit that grow on vines! What makes them a fruit? The seeds that are hidden inside. Speaking of seeds- who has ever tasted pumpkin seeds? Yumm!

Ag in the Classroom does a couple of pumpkins lessons. One is a pumpkin dissection lesson and explore different pumpkins to see what is inside. Another lesson is exploring pumpkins and making Pumpkin Pie in a bag! Yumm!
