The Ag in the Classroom team is excited to continue to provide in-classroom and virtual lessons to the districts we partner with during the 2022-2023 school year. See above to find a detailed list of many of the lessons and activities that we can provide. Interested in our program, but not one of our partner districts? Be sure to continue to check for new lessons updated here on our website, and also check out our Facebook page and YouTube Channel for agricultural videos and activities. Here are some of the new resources we have for our teachers, parents, and students:
- Schedule your own Zoom or in-classroom agriculture activity! AITC educators and students will learn about a variety of agricultural topics with ties to their classroom instructions! Many of these activities allow students to explore through hands-on engagement. These lessons are designed for in-classroom but can be modified to fit into a virtual classroom as well with lesson kits and zoom instruction
- Take part in a virtual live field trip! Ag in the Classroom will be partnering with local farms throughout Central New York to offer live virtual field trips to our classrooms. Ag in the Classroom staff will be live on the farm with the farmer and students can 'visit' the farm virtually through zoom. Students will be able to learn about the farm in real-time and ask the farmer questions. Be on the lookout for e-mails to register your class for a field trip!
- Our AITC Facebook page updated daily. The AITC Facebook page includes daily fun facts and agricultural activities and videos that can be shared with students and their families.
- We have an AITC YouTube Channel. We have several videos that highlight and showcase local farmers and farms, as well as some interviews with 4-H youth.
